You don’t need a full-time staff to run a successful business, but you do need someone to give you a hand when you need it.
Hi all. So glad to have found this group. I hope it grows and we can have many interesting discussions. I'm currently a grad student just starting to work towards my goal of becoming an LMFT. Currently I am a certified holistic health practitioner and consultant. I've decided to work towards my masters in counseling because the more I worked with my clients, the more I realized that they needed deeper support than I am legally able to give them. I'm a master herbalist, aromatherapist, and am certified in several energy healing modalities. I have background in psychology and education and used to work with a therapist as an assistant when I first graduated with my BA many years ago. I look forward to being able to bring all of my skills together under the counseling umbrella.
Hi Christine - I just read your interview Danielle Irving-Johnson this morning and was delighted to read about ACC and its work, particularly since it is in keeping with my own. (My book Neo-shamanism and Mental Health will be coming out on Palgrave Macmillan at the end of this year. ) I am currently developing an integrative self-discovery for wellness program for therapists to be launched in January as well as a certified professional Clincal Neo-shamanic Practitioner program for therapists and qualified lay people. (NB: Ethics and Legal issues are a major element in this program which will be both academic and experiential.) I believe that we are very much working together - so thank you for talking so openly about your practice and goals and guiding me towards this group.
